Creating space for artificial intelligence
October 2024
This week saw the official opening of the AI EXPERIENCE ROOM at INNOPORT Reutlingen. The new experience room, inspired by escape rooms, enables visitors to learn about future technologies such as artificial intelligence in a playful way. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in exciting adventures, solve puzzles and explore exhibits.
The project was the result of productive and creative collaboration: the concept was developed by Birds on Mars, the spatial and architectural planning was done by us, and the final implementation was carried out by Eventhandwerker e.K. Using our modular Mila-wall partition walls, the room was divided into three separate areas, each of which builds on the other in terms of theme and design. The journey begins in the first area, a workshop. In the next area, a high-tech laboratory, the experience is deepened, and finally, visitors enter a completely black area with large screens, which captivates with its futuristic atmosphere. There are hidden details to discover everywhere: old lockers, radios, drawers, and objects that can be explored interactively with scanners.
The AI EXPERIENCE ROOM is an impressive example of how artificial intelligence, combined with innovative interior design, can create new experiences and thus has the potential to redefine museums as places of learning, wonder and discovery.
Giants of the Atlantic shine in all their glory
August 2024
From 25 April to 5 September 2023, the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum presented the special exhibition ‘Giants of the Atlantic – Diving Expedition to the Azores’.
The Azores are a volcanic archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and offer a breathtaking underwater landscape that deserves to be showcased. That is why Mila-Wall was chosen to display the fascinating underwater images.
The partition wall kits were adjusted to the required height by MBA and covered with a matt black film. This created an impressive contrast to the bright blue sea photographs.
The magazine ‘Natur im Museum’ (Nature in the Museum) now also reports on the successful presentation in its current issue. We are very pleased about this and would like to express our sincere thanks for this great article!
Online collection of Freiburg's municipal museums
February 2023
Freiburg's municipal museums have begun digitising the city's art collection and making it available online. In addition to the obvious filter options such as museum, artist or year of creation, the artworks can also be filtered according to their licence for further use. A very successful example that is sure to set a precedent.

The art of lockdown: The Covid Art Museum
July 2021
During the first lockdown in March 2020, Emma Calvo, Irene Llorca and José Guerrero from Barcelona noticed how many of their friends were becoming artistically active. And it wasn't just among their circle of friends; suddenly, there was a trend towards creative work everywhere.
The idea of a digital museum for all these works of art quickly emerged: CAM was launched on Instagram and has been showcasing lockdown art every day since then. The ever-growing collection reveals how people are expressing themselves, what they are experiencing and feeling during the coronavirus pandemic. It is an authentic contribution to the everyday history of the pandemic.
The CAM receives around 500 submissions daily from over 50 countries. Artworks can be sent via an online form or published as an Instagram post (tagged with @covidartmuseum or #covidartmuseum).
Climate protection as a cultural and multimedia task for all generations
March 2021
The Action Network for Sustainability promotes and documents climate protection in the field of culture and media. The network supports pioneering work across all disciplines in the cultural sector that is committed to the sustainable use of energy and resources. Climate protection is communicated as a generational task that can be accomplished if everyone participates – beyond the image of ‘sacrifice and prohibition’. The cooperation projects and pilot projects of the Action Network for Sustainability are funded by the German federal government. One of the renowned supporting partners is the German Museum Association.
With its high-quality, flexible and sustainable Mila-wall partition system, MBA contributes to the resource-saving implementation of creative projects.
Imposters, snoopers, drunkards
August 2020
We have been particularly pleased recently with our successful collaboration with the Natural History Museum in our home town of Reutlingen: the current exhibition ‘Imposters, Snoopers, Drunks and Other Crazy Butterflies – Photographs by Ingo Arndt’ was created using our Mila-wall wall modules, display cases, lighting elements and other accessories.
The exposed beams in the historic building presented a challenge that our Mila-wall partition wall technology was ideally suited to thanks to its modular and flexible design: with a mixed construction of approx. 85% standard walls and 15% special walls, the exhibition adapts perfectly to the difficult spatial conditions.
We are proud of the exciting and atmospheric result!
Classical Modernism at the Braunschweig Castle Museum
May 2020
Until 30 August 2020, the Braunschweig Castle Museum is hosting a comprehensive exhibition on the history of the ‘Society of Friends of Young Art’, founded by Braunschweig art patron Otto Ralf in 1924.
In monthly temporary exhibitions, the society presented solo and group exhibitions of works by important modern artists until its dissolution in 1933.

The exhibition was realised using MBA's flexible partition wall system: Mila-wall elements provide the necessary stability for large paintings, custom-made elements protect particularly sensitive exhibits, and display cases and pedestals structure the rooms and ensure optimal presentation at the right distance.

Getting emotional with MBA UK
October 2019
The Pink Floyd exhibition is an audio-visual journey through 50 years of one of the world's biggest cult rock bands and a rare and exclusive insight into the world of Pink Floyd. It displays many previously unknown objects that have been collected throughout the band's eventful history.
Mila-wall's modular walls create the room-in-room solution for this highly emotional exhibition. Realised by MBA UK.
MBA France at Clos Lucé Castle
September 2019
For the exhibition ‘La Cène de Léonard de Vinci pour François Ier, un chef-d’œuvre d’or et de soie’ (Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper for François I, a masterpiece of gold and silk), MBA France equipped the Château du Clos Lucé in Amboise with wall modules from the Mila-Wall Series 100, measuring 3 metres high. These were specially supplied with a red surface coating to match the specific characteristics of the location.
This is the first time since the 16th century that the tapestry of the Last Supper, commissioned by François I and based on Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece ‘Ultima Cena’, has been exhibited outside the Vatican Museum.
