Röchling

Its “Automotive” division makes Röchling a leading, highly innovative international component manufacturer in the plastics segment of the automotive industry.

That is why it was a logical move to exhibit at the industry’s leading trade fair, the IAA. In 2013 the decision was taken  to adopt VDA’s four-day concept which keeps costs at a low level but nevertheless provides a suitable way for the supplier to test the market and customer response.

The trade fair concept was to be appropriately attractive, individual, high quality and striking in order to present the “Röchling Automotive” brand strongly and clearly. The architectural and design concept for the IAA 2013 was based on the idea of presenting the three strategically important product groups using special “high-end exhibits” and offering the client an inviting “feel-good atmosphere”. At the same time, the booth had to provide a focus through its open, inviting and communicative design and stand out from the competition with its clarity and (architectural) quality.

To achieve this, the booth was divided into two main areas – an exhibit zone at the front and a client zone for hospitality and meetings in the inner area. The client zone was separated from the exhibit area by a decorative railing and a frontage that extended almost to the hall’s full height, while still making it possible to look through it and see “Welcome to Röchling”.

The frontage characterizes the fundamental look of the entire booth through its size, white color and inclusion of the brand logo, as well as through a split screen. Both booth areas are separated up to the hall’s ceiling by distinctive white ceiling areas, creating the unique product and lounge area for clients and staff.

The color concept of white and grey works, right down to the furniture, as well as the blue accent from the company logo.

The walls are almost fully printed with color graphics, creating an impressive and harmonious overall image. The structural realization of the booth – a successful mix of system parts from MBA and individual components – reveals a very clear, but design-oriented and lasting trade fair concept.
