Robert Lebeck. Photographs
Robert Lebeck, born in Berlin in1929, worked some 30 years as a photo journalist for the Star. He was Editor-in-Chief of the magazine GEO and photographed for Revue and Crystal. With his photographs, Lebeck wrote contemporary history and coined photo journalism in Germany since the 1950s . In 1991 he received the Dr. Erich Salomon prize of the German society for photography

In 2007 the Henri Nannen Prize for his life's work.
The exhibition in the Focke Museum presents a selection of over 200 portraits and photographs. They are accompanied by printed reports, which provide a comprehensive insight into the magazine landscape of the postwar period in Germany. For the design of the exhibition, Mila-wall modules of the series 160 in 3m height were used.  In keeping with the interior design, the modular walls were painted in the same color as the walls of the room.
