Why Mila-wall
for museums?

Modular exhibition walls for
museums enable quick and
clean changes in the room.
With Mila-Wall, you can set up permanent
and temporary exhibitions flexibly,
without permanent construction. The systems
can be reused, are
largely tool-free solutions for
operation and create calm
presentation areas for art and knowledge.

Easy planning and customisation

Modular walls allow you to divide rooms,
guide visitor routes and add space
as needed. Changes can also be made
at short notice, as the modules can be combined
and rearranged as desired.
This allows you to adapt any exhibition
safely and efficiently to new content.

Economical and sustainable

The reusable modules reduce
the overall costs across many projects
and avoid unnecessary waste.
Durable surfaces and robust
materials ensure that the
exhibition walls remain reliable
in use for years to come. This makes the
investment predictable and conserves
resources.

Quick assembly

The connection technology can be operated
in just a few simple steps and requires
virtually no tools. Teams can quickly assemble
and dismantle the walls, allowing the
museum to continue operating with
minimal disruption. Briefings ensure
safe and smooth operation.

Clean appearance

Seamless surfaces without visible technology
draw attention to the exhibits.
Uniform edges and smooth surfaces
enhance the high-quality presentation.
On request, colours, lettering
and films can be precisely integrated and then
removed without leaving any residue.

Structure and handling

Assembly is completed in a few
simple steps:

Since 2017, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague has been using Mila-wall partition walls exclusively for its temporary exhibitions. What began with 450 elements is now a flexible system of 700 modules in various heights and radii, enabling each new exhibition to be set up quickly, uniquely and economically.

    Jesuit Church Art Gallery

For the major exhibition of works by the nationally renowned cartoonist, the Kunsthalle Jesuitenkirche opted for the Mila-wall series 100. Fifty-four partition walls and 24 corner profiles, covered in bright red foil and each three metres high, transformed the historic nave into a modern exhibition space. Around 150 originals were presented in an impressive and brightly lit setting, making the show the most successful exhibition of the last decade in Aschaffenburg.

    Art Collections Dresden

The Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) of the Dresden State Art Collections has been using Mila-wall display walls since 2004. The Mila-wall alarm wall monitors the valuable exhibits with invisibly integrated sensors, while the modules, thanks to their robust surface, have already been repainted more than fifty times and rearranged in a wide variety of exhibitions.

Technical aspects

Stability and suspension are planned individually for each project. Permissible loads depend on the module, connection and installation.

  • Suspension systems with rails, hooks and wire ropes
  • Robust and easy-care surfaces

Assembly for demonstration of the Mila-wall Acoustic sound-absorbing panels

    Mila-Wall Acoustic

Sound-absorbing wall modules reduce reverberation and improve speech intelligibility. The surface remains smooth and precise, with only micro-fine openings visible. Ideal for museums, galleries, exhibition stands and events.

    Mila-Wall Sound

The wall becomes a sound source. Invisible surface loudspeakers create a uniform sound field with a wide dispersion angle. Variants with Bluetooth control are available as an option.

    Mila-Wall Display

LED screens are integrated flush into the wall. Power and data run through the frame, keeping the technology out of sight. Content can be controlled via touch or gesture control, even as a video wall.

    Mila-Wall doors

Door elements are flush with the surface and blend in seamlessly. This creates meeting rooms, back offices and service access points with the same look as the wall.

Frequently asked questions

How does the foil coating work?

Each wall is laminated with a robust film at the factory. This film can be removed without leaving any residue and replaced with a new film, including in colour. There are more than 175 colours to choose from, allowing you to design each station of your exhibition to match your visual requirements.

Are the walls also free-standing?

Two modules form a stable stand at an angle of 90 degrees. For straight wall sections without corners, additional wall brackets and ceiling brackets are available to securely fix the system in place.

Can I nail or screw into the walls?

There are two types of wall panels. The basic version is not designed for nails or screws. The nailable version has an additional middle layer in the core that securely holds nails and screws.

What sizes are available?

At Mila-Wall, we manufacture modules in widths of 25 centimetres, 50 centimetres, 75 centimetres and 100 centimetres. Heights start at 50 centimetres and increase in equal increments up to 4 metres. We are happy to produce special sizes upon request.
