Kupferstich Kabinett, Dresden
The unique and world-renowned Art Objects are displayed in modern and innovative museum architecture. From classical wall situations to extravagant wall designs, the museum has used the wide variety of possibilities using the mila-wall technique to its full potential.
Since the valuable collection is open to the public, it must be protected for following generations to view. Therefore, a high security requirement is necessary. As a result, all mila-wall modules in the Kupferstich Kabinett are constructed with a invisible Alarm Technique developed by MBA Design & Display Products Corp.. This technique allows electrodes, the alarm device and all wirings to be hidden inside the wall module, not seen by the public viewing the Art Objects. An invisible, electrical field monitors art objects in a defined wall area. If the field is interrupted, it will activate the alarm. They used mila-wall modules (series 100) that are 2.5m high and 1.2m wide with nailable interiors and constructed with a capacitive alarm system. All walls have been painted with latex free paint.
mila-wall panels with integrated alarm technique can be connected to existing facility alarm systems or it can be used independently as a single "per wall" security monitoring technique releasing an optical or acoustical alarm directed at the protected object.
